LISEIA
The Long Island Solar Energy Industries Association (LISEIA) represents the interests of the solar industry on Long Island. LISEIA works with municipalities, non-profits, utilities, and private companies to support the advancement of solar energy.
RELI
Renewable Energy Long Island (RELI) is a membership-based, not-for-profit organization promoting clean, sustainable energy use and generation for Long Island. RELI seeks public participation in energy policy decisions to encourage energy efficiency, use of renewable energy sources, and to protect our environment, economy, and public health.
GLICCC
The Greater Long Island Clean Cities Coalition (GLICCC) is a member of
the Department of Energy’s Clean Cities program. GLICCC advocates for
transportation policies which reduce petroleum consumption on Long
Island in order to promote economic, environmental, and energy
security. In September 2009, GLICCC was awarded nearly $15 million of
American Recovery and Reinvestment funding to support alternative fuel
transportation projects on Long Island.
NYSEIA
The New York Solar Energy Industries Association is a New York State trade association dedicated to educating the public, policy makers, and government officials on the benefits of solar energy use. NYSEIA members consist of manufacturers, installers, engineers, architects, utlities, public officials, and other solar energy related firms. NYSEIE organizes conferences and trade shows, offers training workshops, and supports solar energy initiatives by providing information and outreach.
SEIA
The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) is a trade association representing solar manufacturers, contractors, installers, distributers, architects, and other solar firms. SEIA was founded in 1974 and has worked since then to promote the use of solar technologies across the U.S.
ASES
The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) is the nation's leading association of solar professionals & advocates. Its mission is to inspire an era of energy innovation and speed the transition to a sustainable energy economy through education, research and policy.
IEEE
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is a non-profit professional association which promotes electricity-related technology and advancements globally. EmPower is an active member in the local chapter of the Power & Energy Society, including providing lectures on solar power engineering.
