Four Seasons Sunrooms

The owners of Four Seasons Sunrooms (FSS) have added a 2 MW solar project to their rooftop in Holbrook, NY. Planned to operate as a community solar system, supplying clean energy to Long Island communities, it will also provide the building owners with reliable revenue stream each year. The building owners were able to upgrade their roof as part of going solar.

• FSS insurance company required a new roof to be installed prior to solar; had continued patch work over years. They had the choice of paying out of pocket for a new roof, or partnering with GAF + EmPower to get a new 20 year TPO roof.
• By working with GAF + EmPower, they received:
  • $1.5M toward a $1.7M roof
  • $100k upfront signing bonus
  • $65k return in year one, escalating at 1.5% every year for 20 years
