Suffolk County Community Solar System

The Selden Commercial Center (SCC) Community Solar Project provides communities access to solar energy through a central solar array, which is virtually connected to subscribers. The energy produced by the array offsets the electric bills of its subscribers.

  • Save 10% on your monthly electric bill
  • No upfront cost to participate and no cancellation fees
  • Benefit from clean energy when you can’t install solar on your home
  • Support our local economy while promoting the health of our communities and shared planet

Who Can Participate in Community Solar?

All PSEG Long Island customers have the opportunity to subscribe to and benefit from the SCC Community Solar Project. Subscribers are often those who can’t install solar panels on their own property for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Living in rented homes or apartments
  • No roof space or shaded roof space
  • Older roof or incompatible roofing material
  • Condo/co-op board restrictions
  • Municipal zoning codes prohibitive of solar
