With nearly 200,000 solar installations in the state, and growth expected to double over the next 5 years, solar power still only constitutes approximately 5% of the energy mix in New York. Led by surging homeowner demand and necessity, New York state is primed not only for historic growth in the solar energy industry, but also the energy storage, smart home appliance, and whole-home electrification markets.

THE ROLE

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you’re the first point of contact for homeowners on their journey to a sustainable future. You’ll play a crucial role in educating potential customers, qualifying leads, building excitement and setting the stage for consultations.  SDRs are on the front lines of interacting with our new customers, so they represent the EmPower Solar brand and our clean energy mission with pride and purpose.  This is an ideal position for someone looking to break into sales or the solar industry. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage and qualify new customers, creating a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Educate homeowners on the benefits of solar energy.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales appointment goals.
  • Utilize Salesforce and other tools for lead and appointment management.
  • Innovate and improve lead qualification and sales processes.

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive Base Salary: You’ll start with a solid foundation, ensuring financial stability as you grow with us.
  • Tiered Commission Structure: The more appointments you set, the higher your commission rate climbs.
  • Monthly Team Bonus: When we exceed our appointment goals as a team, everyone gets a share of the success. This is your chance to not only contribute but also benefit from the collective achievement.
  • Expected Yearly Earnings: $60,000 – $70,000

  • At least 2 professional references.
