EmPower Solar to Receive Clean Energy Award from Vision Long Island

EmPower Solar will be presented with the “Clean Energy Award” from Vision Long Island at its 11th Annual Smart Growth Award Ceremony on June 15th. The award is to recognize EmPower for its significant impact on advancing renewable energy on Long Island through its diverse portfolio of solar projects. Vision LI is an organization committed to developing economically and environmentally responsible growth on the Island.

An important component of Vision Long Island’s “smart growth” approach is promoting the development of sustainable and renewable energy strategies to meet the community’s energy needs.

EmPower also congratulates the Town of Hempstead in being honored for the “Certainty and Predictability” Smart Growth Award for its mixed-use development zoning proposal. We applaud Supervisor Kate Murray for supporting numerous community development initiatives for the Town of Hempstead. The Town has also been a leader in promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies and policies.
