EmPower Solar seeks an experienced, personable, motivated and organized individual to perform duties as Senior Foreman to support and grow the company.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Foreman, reporting to the Field Manager, is responsible to lead field personnel through effective and efficient installations, complete site audits on a regular basis and conduct on-site & off-site training. This includes providing guidance, training and direction to field crews, ensuring that everyone is aware of EmPower’s policies and procedures, and performance standards. This position will serve as the primary technical point of contact for crew members, as well as the primary point of contact between field technicians and project managers.

  • Ensure installation crews are completing jobs as efficiently as possible while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, job safety and customer satisfaction
  • Make sure that installation crews follow Empower policy and procedures 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Crew Support & Training

  • Agree on installation targets with senior management
  • Support each crew members’ professional development through Empower Solar development program
  • Oversee training plan for each crew member on a 1:1 basis, helping them set goals and achieve them
  • Visit each crew at least once per week 
  • Complete site inspection forms, which includes STOCKED review, van inspections & other items
  • Lead office training Monday mornings
  • Review upcoming projects to thoroughly understand scope of work and areas of concern 
  • Brief installation crews on projects to ensure they are adequately prepared to perform the work and efficiently complete the job
  • Seek efficiencies in installations and operations processes to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability
  • Manage punch list items and perform quality control at completion of installations
  • Primary contact for all technical questions the field crews may have
  • Provides continuous feedback on post contract site visits (PCSV’s)
  • Always follow job site safety requirements and PPE protocol
  • Ensure all purchases have receipts Following company procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Leadership and people management skills 
  • Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Google Suite
  • Able to drive personal vehicle to and from site visits 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 or more years solar/construction experience
  • 5 or more years service technician experience
  • Current Foreman with EmPower Solar for at least two years 
  • Highly motivated, committed individual, eager to take on hard tasks and find solutions
  • Embodies and conveys EmPower’s vision of retaining & recruiting the “best of the best”

HOURS, COMPENSATION + BENEFITS

This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Compensation for this position will include an hourly rate, monthly performance bonus and professional development program advancements.  Salary will be increased with time in service and strong performance.  All other standard EmPower benefits apply: Medical, dental and vision, and 401k plan with 4% match of gross compensation.
